Forend Instructions
For Mossberg

MAKE SURE YOUR SHOTGUN IS UNLOADED
BEFORE STARTING!

1) Cycle action once to make sure hammer is cocked and engage safety.

2) Depress slide release and pull forend approximately halfway rearward, loosen magazine cap and remove barrel.

3) Remove trigger group retaining pin by tapping it out with a blunt pin no greater than 3/16 inch in diameter.

4) Place shotgun upside down and pull out trigger group by lifting up at the rear.

5) Remove shell interrupter and shell stop from receiver.

6) Align bolt slide with cut out in receiver by moving forend and action bars back and forth.

7) Remove bolt slide upward.

8) Pull forend and action bars forward and remove from magazine tube.

9) With forend removed, unscrew forend ring nut (with supplied Tee wrench) from the front of tube and remove old forend by pulling it forward off the tube.

10) Locate front and rear adapter for your shotgun. (USE SCISSORS TO REMOVE PLASTIC BRIDGE) Note: The part numbers are located on the inside of the tube for each of the front and rear adapters.

FRONT Adapter Marked
MF1 = Mossberg 500/590 Long
MF2 = Mossberg 500/590 Short
RF = Remington 870 & Norinco 98
WF = Winchester 1200/1300

REAR Adapter Marked
MR = Mossberg 500/590
RR = Remington 870 & Norinco 98
WR = Winchester 1200/1300

11) (USE SCISSORS TO REMOVE PLASTIC BRIDGES FROM FOREND) Place the adapters on both the front and rear of your new forend and slide in place over the forend tube.

12) Place ring nut on forend tube and tighten.

13) Place forend back on magazine tube and align action bars with the openings in the receiver.

14) Align the slots on the action bars with the slots on the bolt slide and replace bolt slide (see step 7 above).

15) Replace both the shell interrupter and shell stop (see step 5 above).

16) Replace trigger group and pin (see step 4 above).
