MAKE SURE YOUR SHOTGUN IS UNLOADED
BEFORE STARTING!

1) To remove barrel from shotgun, pump the forend halfway to the rear. Next, remove magazine-cap. Then pull the barrel forward and off shotgun.

2) Widen the front clamp approximately 1/8" and slip Heat Shield over the barrel.

3) Slide Heat Shield toward the rear of the barrel.

4) Reinstall the barrel (with new Heat Shield). Replace magazine-cap.

5) Using pliers, squeeze the front clamp. Then place screws though holes. Add lock washers and nuts. Tighten securely.

6) CAREFULLY slide the forend back and forth, check for interference between the action/slide bars and the rear retaining split-ring. Correct interference with a metal file or rasp (See arrows).
